Pro Snowboarder Talks Climate Change
February 10th, 2011 by ACE Alumni
Nate Holland – 5 times X Games gold medalist and US Olympic team snowboarder – joined ACE and Protect Our Winters for an assembly at Basalt High School, in Colorado.
In this video, you’ll see Nate – after he and Seth just finished talking about the depressingly small amounts of snow at the 2010 Olympics and the 2011 World Championships – talking about how he remembers hiking a glacier with his father as a child. But, because of our warming planet, that glacier has receded so much there is now a parking lot between where it used to be and where it is now…

If we were to try to wean ourselves off coal, how would we keep the lights on? Is renewable energy ready for prime time? Is Carbon Capture and Storage really a viable option financially and environmentally?

October 4th, 2010 by Daniela
“It’s hard to be persistent when we’re standing at a distance, so we keep on waiting on the world to change…”
What does John Mayer have to do with anything? Well, he brought this blog post upon himself when he decided to debut one of my favorite songs, Waiting on the World to Change, in 2006.
Honestly, whenever I hear this song, my mind is unfailingly drawn to global warming. Here’s why…

Put a Cap on it !?!
March 1st, 2010 by ACE Alumni
A new rule has just took effect last month…its called the “New Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule“. Well the purpose of this is to reduce the tons of carbon and heat-trapping gases being released by all of our factories. This rule will effect 1,200 factories, excluding the agriculture sites which were excused from this rule by a directive from Congress…
Any factory that releases …
