Because it’s still the first week of January, I can still talk about the newness that the year brings and what changes will become of it, especially in the environmental sphere.
So, here are two totally new, totally awesome steps in the right direction. The first: the new Bureau of Energy Resources (ENR). A cross between the Department of Energy and the State D department, this new agency has three core principles and objectives:

Even if you don’t live in New England, chances are you’ve heard of the epic story of “Cape Wind.”
From rampant NIMBY-ism (Not In My Backyard), to emotional court battles involving tribal lands and private homes, the proposed wind farm a few miles off of the shore of Nantucket, Massachusetts, has been one of — if not the — most contentious domestic clean energy proposals!

I was lucky to spend April 10th – this past Saturday – in Indiana at the Indiana Clean Energy Forum, an event aimed at sparking a lasting conversation about clean energy. I was even luckier to work with four amazing high school students who made this event happen!
I was so inspired by the students’ ability to organize this Forum. I was so inspired, in fact, I made a video about it. Read on to watch the video and hear from Iraq War veterans as they join in the clean energy conversation!
