Why I Care about Green Roofs on Schools

My name is Karina Chen and I am part of the Global Kids Human Rights Activist Project. We are advocating for implementation of green roofs on New York City public schools. We are enlisting the help of concerned citizens and officials; it is vital that everyone does their part. Not only do green roofs help decrease the overall temperature of the world, but they also help cool buildings that have them.

Our Experience at the Project Greenway Fashion Show

Having to use recycled or vintage materials for our outfits really made us think about how much our old clothes or just any old fabric can be turned into something new. Instead of just throwing away clothes we don’t wear anymore and buying new ones, we can alter them or make them into something completely new. The fashion show really inspired us to be more environmentally conscious with our fashion choices

Cycling for Climate from San Francisco to DC
