Have you ever wanted to be a youtube sensation? What about doing that and making your voice heard on climate change? You can!

One group of students have been involved in the NASA funded CAM (Climate Education in an Age of Media) Project.  The initiative “puts the tools of media-making in the hands of students in order to engage them with climate change science and empower them to add their own voices to societal discourse about an issue that will heavily impact their lives.”  The student work produced thus far has been stellar!  Being part of the youth demographic and seeing projects of my generation always amazes me.  Here are some of my favorites.

Mr. Mayhem — A clever play on the Mayhem auto commercials, students show that if people do not read the warning signs of climate change, the world could be in a lot of trouble.

Save the World — Not only did these youth make a fantastic video, but also they wrote a great song about climate change.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if this was what was on the radio all the time?

News 98 — It still shocks me when people don’t know much about climate change even though it is such a pressing issue.  This news crew showed how little people know and is a sign that we need to get the word out!  The youth have the power to educate the world.

So grab your camera or even just your phone, some friends, and get creative.  You have the power and you could be the next internet superstar! Make your voice heard on climate change.
