Calling all losers! We were just totally inspired by this video created by Marist High School’s Green Club in Atlanta for the Green Schools Alliance. So, we’re upping the anti for our Biggest Loser: Energy competition.
Our challenge to you, ACE-ers? Make a music a video about the Biggest Loser: Energy competition. It can be a rap, it can be a pop song, it can be a jazz number, whatever your favorite style of music is, that’s okay by us! So what’s in it for you? A few things! First, the Action Team with the best music video, as voted on in a Facebook poll, will win cash money to buy more energy efficient gadgets to green up their school. Think solio chargers, power strips and more posters. The runner up gets $50.
Before you embrace your inner James Cameron, here’s the down low on the deets:
1. The music video has to be about the Biggest Loser: Energy competition, but it can be a remix of an existing song or a brand-new original.
2. The music video should be between 1 and 2 minutes.
3. You can make the video on any camera you have available to you, whether it be a professional – grade video camera or your iPhone. (For inspiration on what you can create on a smart phone, watch these examples from this year’s Disposable Film Festival). You can also mix media in the video, meaning you can use live video footage and still pictures.
4. To submit your videos, just email the youtube link to email@example.com. We’ll post all of the submissions right here on our blog.
So channel your inner Adele or Drake and get music making. Need some inspiration to get started? Check out the all of the videos created for the Green Schools Alliance competition. Got questions? Email ‘em to firstname.lastname@example.org.
