Scholarships

Any high school senior who sees or is scheduled to see an ACE presentation at his/her school in the 2009/2010 school year is eligible for a $2,500 scholarship for college expenses. We'll award scholarships to seniors who've demonstrated leadership in taking action to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and raise climate awareness in their schools and communities. To learn more or to apply, get the application, and reference form here.  Send the completed application and any attachments to Ashlee Jensen and have the reference forms sent in a sealed envelope to Ashlee at Alliance for Climate Education, Attn: Scholarship Department, 360 22nd St, Ste 730, Oakland, CA 94612.   Also, make sure check out the 2009 scholarship winners page to hear about all the amazing things they've accomplished!

School Grants

In April 2010, we're dealing out up to $35,000 in grants to high school Action Teams who demonstrate strong school-wide commitments to curbing global warming. We'll award grants of $2,500 and $5,000 to ACE Action Teams at schools that have participated in or are scheduled to participate in an ACE presentation during the 2009/2010 school year. Any student member of an Action Team that is dedicated to greening their school can apply for a grant - just grab the application(Part I & II) and budget worksheet (Part III) and send the completed pdfs to Ashlee Jensen.  Need ideas for how to get started? Starter Grants for Action Teams

Got an Action Team already? If you don't, you're totally missing out - get started here! - and if you do, awesome! Read on.

Once your Action Team's ACE Ambassador has submitted the Get Official Application for your team, you're eligible to apply for a one-time ACE Starter Grant of $250. These starter grants are intended to help your Action Team develop and implement cool carbon-reducing, awareness-raising initiatives - check out our climate heroes for inspiration. We'll give preference to teams from schools that have participated in an ACE presentation, and will give out awards throughout the school year. Have your Action Team's ACE Ambassador fill out the Green For Your Green application and follow the instructions for sending it in.
