Media Alert: 15-year-old Climate Advocate to Present Youth Declaration of Independence from Fossil Fuels on Capitol Hill

WHAT:  Alec Loorz, a globally renowned 15-year-old climate change activist, will deliver his “Declaration of Independence from Fossil Fuels,” signed by 30,000 youth, at a Capitol Hill event celebrating the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act.

WHY:  Alec Loorz will deliver a strong and passionate statement to the Senators, Cabinet members and press as he presents a 175-foot-long scroll of 10,000 youth signatures in support of his pioneering “Declaration of Independence from Fossil Fuels.” The Declaration has received over 30,000 signatures to date.
